​OUR PROCESS: Typical Deal Timeline

We're not tire-kickers. We're serious dealmakers with the skills and expertise to get to the closing table, and we're backed by a global investment firm Opulentia Capital. Once we've agreed on terms the process moves as quickly. We can close in as little as 4-12 weeks depending on your team's response times.

NDA

The first step to selling your business is to enable us to share information freely while ensuring your private data is held in the highest confidence.  That's exactly what we'll do and we're happy to memorialize it with an NDA.  

DISCOVERY

During discovery we'll be requesting information be shared via our secured document portal.  We'll also be communicating fairly regularly via phone and in person when appropriate.  During this phase we'll gather all the information we need to make you an offer. (2-4 Weeks)

OFFER

After reviewing your finanicials and learning more about your business we'll make you an offer and fully explain our thinking behind the offer.  The offer will come in the form of a "Letter of Intent" which when signed will officially begin our deal timeline.

DUE DILIGENCE

1-2 days after the LOI is signed we'll submit a due diligence checklist of items we'll need to conduct our work during this phase.  This usually takes sellers 1-2 weeks to gather depending on circumstances.  Once recieved, we'll take another 1-2 weeks to review and follow up on the information provided.  (2-4 Weeks Total)

PURCHASE AGREEMENT

Once due diligence is complete we'll submit our final offer and document any specific terms that you or SuccessBridge feel are important to ensuring a mutually beneficial transaction.  Typically you'll take time to discuss with your attorney and other deal team members and we'll revise accordingly.  (1-2 Weeks)

CLOSING

Depending on timing we can typically schedule a fast close of 1-2 weeks after the Purchase Agreement is signed.  Once closing takes place and you receive your compensation the terms set out in the purchase agreement will take effect.  We'll then begin running the business as agreed and you can enjoy your well deserved second act!

Mr. Douglass showed entrepreneurial drive early by mowing grass and shoveling snow to earn spending money. In 2007, he purchased his first business and has acquired 5 businesses since. He's held roles of increasing responsibility with both large, public companies and small businesses.  He has experience in a wide range of industries such as medical, aerospace and manufacturing. 

Danny Pepponi

Mr. Pepponi started in entrepreneurship at 16 with a subscription to Entrepreneur magazine. He was hooked. In his early 20s, he founded a local B2C service company from scratch. Since then, he's invested and operated two small businesses and currently owns and operates a successful manufacturers’ representative agency in the Chicagoland area.
